Taking new products to market - Flintshire

Project Area: Agri-food and Forestry
County: Flintshire

Project Officer: Lowri Williams
Axis: 4

This activity is all about helping new and established micro-businesses - including those working in the areas of agriculture, food and forestry - to realise their ideas for launching exciting new products and services.

With specialist advise from designers, marketing companies, legal experts and academics, support is available to help with all stages of development, from feasibility studies, business planning, market research, testing and proto-typing; right through to taking the finished product to market.

A grant of up to £5000 is available towards processing equipment and for marketing costs such as professional packaging, graphics and website design.

Eligible projects could include things like new product testing and shelf-life research at the Food Technology Centre; research into the feasibility of launching products which are new to the areal as well as help towards the cost of visiting and showcasing at food festivals and exhibitions.
