By encouraging local projects that look at reducing our reliance on fossil fuels, this exciting new activity is all about enabling communities and groups - including farmers and businesses - to take positive action on climate change and fuel poverty.  A range of projects could benefit from funding including

  • energy efficiency measures in community buildings
  • innovative heating and renewable energy projects
  • feasibility studies into renewable energy projects such as wind, water and solar power

Funding is also available for community projects that address climate change - things like

  • awareness days
  • energy audits for homes, farms or businesses in the community
  • reducing food miles and more

A variety of community projects could benefit; we're keen to hear you ideas!
