This activity is designed to encourage people to get involved with their communities and to make the most of local assets such as public spaces and village halls.
Funding is available towards giving communities groups advice on the best use of facilities, while innovative projects which generate revenue - such as social enterprise and training - are encouraged.
Funding and support is available towards activities like;
- drawing up architectural plans to alter a village hall
- writing a business plan to develop a village shop or cafe
- producing leaflets and interpretation panels for a community trail
- organising a workshop to create a public work of art
- training on how effectively run and support youth groups and sport clubs
