Denbigh Plum Festival

Project Area: General News

This year's festival was held in the heart of Denbigh, under cover in the Town Hall on Saturday 4th of October. The festivities began at 11am where you could buy some great Denbigh Plum products. There was also live entertainment in the form of cookery demostrations, music, traditional punch and judy's shows and array of arts and crafts stalls.

The local plum is currently undergoing the application process to join the European Protected Food Name Scheme PGI. If successful, The Vale of Clwyd Denbigh Plum will become the first Welsh Fruit on the list.
