Major work on the lake refurbishment is complete, and is looking fantastic. The lake's been relined so that it won't dry up and can be enjoyed for many more years to come. New retaining walls, fences, re-shaping of the island, installation of an eight-foot oak-sculptured swan, a dipping platform, and oak-mounted interpretation panels (featuring drawings by local children) are now on-site, and make the park well worth a visit.
A celebration of the completed work and a family fun day took place on Saturday 24th September 2011, which included face-painting, a treasure hunt and mini-rugby tournaments, among other things.
