This exciting activity is about offring local community groups the funding and support needed to organise and run a successful rural event.
Help is available for local groups to organise events withing the areas of;
- sport and sporting events
- art
- heritage
- community fetes
- music concerts
- performing arts
Assistance is offered to new and existing regular events towards things like training for event organisers, as well as for publicising the event - with funding available to help with posters, leaflets, banners, websites and advertising.
By helping local volunteer groups to organise and hold a successful event, this activity will not only help to encourage creativity, enterprise and s strong sense of community; it will also enable groups to provide solutions to local issues and to make a valuable contribution to their local economy.
