Bwyd Clwyd

The overall aim of Bwyd Clwyd is to raise the profile of locally produced food products. We aim to promote products as premium branded products with an environmentally positive image.

The Bwyd Clwyd project aims to support local producers markets, such as Glydwr Farmers' Market, Celyn Farmers Market, Denbigh Producers Market, and local WI markets. The project supports the marketing of niche and novel products, such as the Denbigh Plum and Flintshire Gooseberry. We are currently involved in helping Celyn Farmers' Market set up a box distribution scheme. We are also looking into developing a community kitchen, where those new in the food sector can test and trial new food products. The Bwyd Clwyd Directory will also help to improve links between the local hospitality sector and the food sector. We aim to also raise the profile of the area among visitors with respect to high quality food.
